Hi everyone,

I'm a freelance copywriter based in Suffolk.

What do I do? Well, in a nutshell marketing writing. That is basically what copywriting is all about. Every communication you make with you customers is sales writing. Yes, even basic emails.

Just think about it for a second. Every written communication your business creates is an opportunity to sell and build relationships. OK, you could spend hours working on sales letters, newsletters, web copy, press releases etc., (here are further details about my copywriting services) but is that really the best use of your time? By hiring a copywriter (either for a project or on a retainer basis) means that you will have professionally written, powerful copy out there selling for you every minute of the day (and night), while you get more time to do the things you do best.

Ta da! A copywriter can therefore mobilise a written marketing army freeing you up to deal with all those extra enquiries and sales that will come your way.

Outside of work, I do have a life! I'm a mum to 2 rugby mad boys so my Sundays are spent on the side lines. I'm a writer and have written a childrens' book (The Adventures of Tilly The Tractor and Freddie the Fire Engine) and I am a volunteer wish granter with the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK.

Copywriting (the art of sales writing) projects begin with a desire to tell an audience about a product or service. But if all you do it tell your readers about something you are missing the mark. Telling is done by journal… Continue

The Main Psychological Keys of Copywriting

A copywriter knows that to get their audience to do what they want; they have to get inside their mind and work out what makes them tick.

Psychology is therefore key to the copywriting process.

Understanding how your reader thinks, discovering what they are looking for in life and what problems they are looking for solutions to is the real key to powerful copywriting.

It sounds rather daunting, but it is something that can be easil… Continue
