Because Internet Marketing Is More Than Just Great Design

I have noticed that there seems to have more online businesses now the economy is bad. Does people find it easier to start off a business online than offline? Is it really so with people flooding online?

I have been involved corporately since the early 70s in MLM/home based business ...and yes when times are tough then traditionally these businesses flourish as people seek ways to add to their income...now with the internet many offer low cost entry so even more come.......... and there are less global boundaries particularly if its just service style products or down loads involved.........then all you face are the challenges of translation if you want real market growth in an international location but currently with USA hitting 15 million unemployed that's why you see so many more out there now

I run an established business that was a mail order and went to web shop in November 07. We had our biggest month in terms of hits in March (nearly as large as when the Olympics was on and that's our main audience - sports fans). And the shop is roaring away too.

We have some advantages based on currency because we buy in AU$ our stuff looks cheap compared to our main competitor in one category - but the rest is just good internet search and some direct marketing.

We are getting found by student sports clubs more often which is also good because they are hard to start relationships with becuase of the turnover of membership.

Rowperfect is the site. Send me any suggestions for improvements, pls!

I wish I could come up with an idea to start my online business but with little income right now it kind of hard. However, all I really want to do is start a online forum that offer some type of service to people.

It is hard work to start from scratch but i guess it is possible. It is never easy in the online world because you need to learn more about SEO marketing and how it works.

I think the internet makes it easier for someone to launch a new website business, but like any other business everything takes perspiration to make it succeed. All of the things and skills needed to run any business applies to an internet one, so in effect it is not a quick way to make money.
